SCILEX TACTICAL LLC was founded to bridge the gap between what officers are taught and what they actually face in the field. We integrate science, law, and tactics reinforced with reality-based scenarios to produce training that is realistic, defensible, and sustainable for agencies of all sizes.

Tate McBride serves as a Police Lieutenant, SWAT Commander, Range Master, Drone Team Lieutenant, and Training Director for a police department of approximately 200 officers in southern New Mexico. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration and is certified as a Force Science Advanced Specialist. Tate works with police academy coordinators, training directors, and administrators throughout the state to shape the future of law enforcement training in New Mexico.

For 18 years, he has overseen, designed, conducted, and participated in training for patrol, SWAT, firearms, drones, scenario-based training, and snipers among others. Through a practical understanding of human performance and reality-based programs, we understand both the tactical and administrative demands placed on modern agencies.
